The inaugural APP World Tour in 2017 was professional paddleboarding’s defining moment.
Launching in Hawaii, the home of surf, and culminating in the Canary Islands, the Tour’s 11 venues saw the world’s best watersports athletes perform in 7 countries across 4 continents.
Our challenge: increase live-stream viewing figures for the premiere events of the APP World Tour.
Our first port of call was the audience. We had to raise awareness of the APP World Tour, so our iterative process started by conducting extensive market research and audience analysis to build a target audience for carefully crafted APP content.
Using real-time insights, we ran multiple campaigns across APP’s digital platforms to provide platform-specific and geo-targeted content. We reached current and potential paddleboarding fans at the right time, and the right place, which ultimately grew APP’s live-stream audience.
